Working with Children and Youth

Before working with children or youth in any ministry context, volunteers and staff must complete the following tasks:

• Authorize a comprehensive background check every five years by completing the Background Check Acknowledgement and Authorization Form in accordance with State of Illinois guidelines every five (5) years. 

 

• Review the Safeguarding God's Children Program presentation and complete the Reflection Questionnaire every three (3) years.

 

• Complete the DCFS Mandated Reporter Training every three (3) years as required by Illinois law, and submit a copy of their Certificate of Completion to the church office using this form.
